Nakshatras have a very significant impact on almost all spheres of life. These include Health, Wealth, Career, Relationships, Business, Marriage, Well-being, etc. However, in Vedic Astrology, Gandmool Nakshatra is considered malefic and inauspicious. There are 27 nakshatras, and Gandmool comprises the six nakshatras, including Ashwini Nakshatra, Magha Nakshatra, Jyeshtha Nakshatra, Revati Nakshatra, Ashlesha Nakshatra, and Mool Nakshatra. When the child is born in these six nakshatras, then it means they have been born in the Gandmool Nakshatra.
As per the ancient Hindu Vedic scriptures, it is believed that the individual who was born in this Nakshatra may face many problems and negativity in life. It also brings negative impacts on the lives of their family members. Thus, to pacify the negative influences of this Dosha in the birth chart, it is required to perform the Gandmool Nakshatra Shanti Puja. It leads to the well-being of the individual and their family members and attracts prosperity, positivity, and peace to their lives.
Perform the self-practice or meditate to refine your inner soul. On the Puja Day, in the morning, after taking a bath, light a Ghee lamp, and worship the deity to let them accept your prayers. If possible, observe the fast; and if it is not possible, then at least have the Sattvik meals and avoid onion, garlic, or any tamasic food. Seek blessings from the deity for a prosperous, harmonious, and fulfilling life.
Considering the Vedic Astrology, the Gandmool Nakshatra Shanti Puja can be performed in a day, but the process can be completed in different steps and stages. The most essential requirement is to chant the Nakshatra-specific mantras, such as "ॐ आश्लेषायै नमः" (it is specific to Ashlesha Nakshatra) or any other, as per the requirement of the individual’s Horoscope. Pandit Ji takes the oath in the “Shubh Muhurta” before the idols and recites the Nakshatra-specific Mantras along with his fellow priests, citing the individual’s name, their father’s name, and their Gotra.
The other details required are the individual’s wish or Sankalpa from this Puja, and any other additional information. The priest will take all the details and start worshiping, considering the individual’s Sankalp. They will perform Gandmool Nakshatra Shanti Puja Homam (Havan) with Puja samagri or materials. At the end of the Puja, Pandit Ji will follow the process of “Sankalp Purti,” leading to the Puja completion.
