Navagraha Shanti Puja

The term Navagraha refers to the nine celestial planets – Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and the shadow planets Rahu and Ketu. These nine planets influence an individual’s karma and life events. Their placement in the natal chart can bring opportunities, harmony, and success, or challenges and obstacles depending on their strength and associations.

Navagraha Shanti Puja is performed to strengthen favorable planets and reduce the negative effects of weak or malefic planets. It helps pacify planetary doshas and brings confidence, peace of mind, prosperity, and life balance.

• Take a bath and light a ghee lamp in the morning

Navagraha Shanti Puja Vidhi and Rituals

The Puja is performed during a Shubh Muhurta by experienced priests. The essential Navagraha Shanti Mantra includes:

ॐ ब्रह्मा मुरारी त्रिपुरांतकारी भानु: शशि भूमि सुतो बुधश्च। गुरुश्च शुक्र: शनि राहु केतव: सर्वे ग्रहा शांति करा भवंतु।

Pandit Ji takes Sankalp mentioning the devotee’s name, father’s name, and Gotra. The priest performs Homam (Havan) with proper Puja Samagri and completes the ritual with Sankalp Purti.
